Finalists for the Inaugural RPG Magnifico Award Announced
Inspired by the Goblin Magnifico award in purpose and structure, the RPG Magnifico award seeks to become an international benchmark for those who write, publish and play tabletop role-playing games. Its aim is to identify, acknowledge and promote the most deserving works.
Created by Ludo Labo and hosted by Play - the Games festival, the RPG Magnifico award aims to inform the public about the common methods and forms of tabletop role-playing games while celebrating international achievements in the field.
A jury, representing several Italian associations dedicated to role-playing games, curates, selects, tests, and evaluates new publications, irrespective of their country of origin.
From an initial selection of entries, five standout titles have been shortlisted as finalists for their exceptional contributions over the past year.
Visit the Ludo Labo website for detailed information on the judging criteria and the panel of jurors.
The finalists, listed in alphabetical order, are:
Blade Runner - The Roleplaying Game
Old Gods of Appalachia Roleplaying Game
Werewolf: The Apocalypse 5th Edition
The winner of RPG Magnifico 2024 will be selected from these five titles and revealed at Play the Games Festival. The award ceremony is set to take place on Sunday 19 May, at 15:30 in the Moreno Room, alongside other Magnifico awards.
